Elite Design Furnishings

Elite Design was founded in 1985 making custom contemporary furnishings for retailers and the interior design community in our facility in Ontario, Canada. We have evolved into a leading edge furniture manufacturer and distributor producing contemporary lines mainly for exclusive retailers across Canada, United States, Mexico, South America and Australia.

In 2004, due to market pressures, it was necessary to enhance our line with imports to remain competitive. The following year, Elite Design joined forces with a manufacturing company in Shanghai, China to carry on our philosophy of providing customers with superior, reasonably priced, contemporary furniture. Both companies had collaborated together on design development, finishes, materials, manufacturing processes and shipping. This joint venture launched Elite to the next level, conveying our genuine passion for contemporary furniture design and exceptional quality.

Another strategic change was necessary in 2008. At this time, we closed our long standing Canadian manufacturing operations in order to remain competitive and began laying the groundwork for our own factory in Shanghai, China. Today, we are confident that we have a unique operation which encompasses all components of the supply chain. Our manufacturing is now exclusively made in-house; allowing us to direct production, quality control and inventory management with effective oversight and flexibility.
